Stay Strong

Stay Strong

While sometimes technology can get a bad rap, it also is a wonderful tool at times.  One of the things our family does is share our calendars on our iPhones.  Some are better than others at keeping events up to date, however, its a wonderful tool to keep track of where everyone is at and when we can plan family functions.

A hidden benefits I have received is my daughter, Kylie, has set reoccurring daily reminders.  So, at 1P everyday, we get a reminder to “Stay Strong”.  In the notes section, she writes, “Just a reminder that you’re beautiful, and that no one is perfect”.  What an awesome thing to remember as a teenage girl.

Today, I went for a jog (yes, honey, I did say jog and not walk, I know you’re proud of me).  While listening to some of my favorite worship music, I was talking with God and reflecting on a conference call I’d had about a hour earlier with leaders across the nation.  We were discussing how sometimes it’s difficult to not “grow weary while doing good”.  Overall, the call was encouraging, however, I felt the weight of the burdens being carried.  Then, right in the middle of my jog, listening to worship music, talking with God, my phone “buzzed”.  And yes, it was Kylie’s reminder to Stay Strong.

May this be a reminder to my brothers and sisters in Christ who were on today’s call as well as others reading this today that we are to “stay strong”.

God is good!

“Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord!” Psalm 31:24 ESV
