What Are You Still White-Knuckling in Your Business?

There’s a difference between being responsible and being in control.

Most leaders blur that line without even realizing it.
They step out in faith… until cash flow tightens.
They delegate… until someone drops the ball.
They say “God, I trust You”… with everything except the one thing that keeps them up at night.

This is what I call white-knuckling
when we grip part of our business with fear, pressure, and performance…
because we’re afraid of what might happen if we don’t.

For me, that thing used to be financial security —
as if I could protect my future by managing the numbers just right.

But the tighter I held on, the more anxious I became.
Because what I thought was stewardship…
was actually fear in disguise.

Ask yourself:

  • Where am I clinging to control in the name of “being responsible”?

  • What fear is underneath that grip?

  • What would it look like to release it — practically and spiritually?

Surrender isn’t passive.
It’s active trust.
It’s saying: “God, I don’t just trust You with what I can’t do. I trust You even with what I can do.”

Let go.
Not because you’ve failed…
But because peace is found on the other side of your grip.
